  • England’s original open-air museum has a collection of over 30 buildings (14th to 20th centuries) rescued from destruction and rebuilt on a beautiful parkland site.   • The BIMC is now an independent charity based at the Routh Concert Hall at Bromsgrove School. It runs ‘The Bromsgrove’, an international competition for talented young instrumentalists and singers between the ages of 17 and 25 (28 in the case of singers) and the Bromsgrove Young Musicians Platform for musicians still of school age. The Bromsgrove has been a stepping stone to national and international recognition and success for many competitors.

  • Bromsgrove Music Centre is one of a network of Music Centres throughout the county, wehich are organised and administered by Severn Arts. BMC aims to provide opportunities for young people in the surrounding area to take part in a wide variety of musical activities with particular emphasis on ensemble work, building confidence and making friends. High quality tuition is offered on a variety of instruments. BMC meets on a Monday evening at St John's C of E Middle School Academy. The Wind and Brass Band and a String Ensemble rehearse from 6-7pm. The first term of ensemble membership is free!

  • Bromsgrove School has made considerable alterations to Routh Hall, transforming it into a first class concert venue for Bromsgrove. In addition there is a new 280 seat theatre and purpose-built Drama Studio with full height mirrors, aballet barre and sprung floor. All venues have technicians who support them. Bromsgrove organisations are welcome to use these facilities outside of school hours. There are also over 85 Performing Arts Events at the school each year, which are open to the general public.
